What lessons can the Ancients
say to us
now that they are but memories
of ash and dust?
What can be said
of Athenian Wisdom
or Spartan Glory,
now that time has sailed past
their sun kissed islands.
And yet,
such tales
of the frailty of mortality
and it's flaws
echo down the ages still
as true now
as it was then,
and still to be true
into eternity.

i run in peoples circles and these egotistical beings think they are way more advanced than today's present peoples as they believe that holding on to and studying History is a big waste of time. It really makes me insane to a point where i want to .............

Although History changes and events are modified by technology and society, having no sense of the past is a good way to have a bad future.
Any fool who poo-poos History can join the unnumbered legions of other idiots who all failed to learn some lesson before it was too late.
