KINTSUGI HEART
how lovely
it sets,
broken
and mended
and broken again,
and i can trace
cracks sealed with gold,
a bright web
that tells of shards
and splinters gathered
and pieced and set
just so
and know the fragile
beauty
of mended hearts
and to touch
with loving care
and then this,
my own ancient vase,
scarred and fragile,
holding its contents
like a secret scripture
and all may crumble
in careless hands
so please,
be careful
my love
