Downloading Epiphanies
There is a completeness coming,
I sense that I’m on the verge,
It’s like I’m standing on a precipice,
Scratching the illusive itch, sating the endless urge.
What all this portends is not clear to me,
Brow furrowed, I chase the why,
Translating visions from unseen Oracles,
Downloading epiphanies from the sky.
In these moments I am euphoric,
As if Life’s Secrets have been disclosed,
Peace and calm erupt around me,
I dissolve into the world.
In this blissful instant the pale blue dot stops turning,
life suspends in place and time,
I hear the Universe’s heartbeat,
Surprisingly, it's no different to yours or mine.
‘Cause what are we but the Universe
trying to understand itself,
Merely atoms contemplating atoms,
We are the gods, thus we worship ourselves.
There is a completeness coming,
I have found it on the verge,
Knowing that we are the Universe,
Inspires happiness to immerge.
I sense that I’m on the verge,

Scratching the illusive itch, sating the endless urge.
