A Case For Sloth
is it sloth
for you to want
to sometimes be smothered
beneath the weight of my frame
pressed body to body
soul to soul?
is it sloth
if i want to sometimes
plant myself inside your heated walls
lay there in complete stillness
while we check each
others' pulse?
is it sloth
for us to seek
shelter under thick comforters
securely blanketed during
a cold and brutal winter night
feeding off the warmth
generated within the folds
of love?
is that sloth
that some peering eyes
would consider us
shiftless lazy good fer nuthin
social deadbeats
cuz all we wanna do
is lay up on weekends
floating in our sea of bliss
reading poetry and
listening to music for hours
while giving zero fucks about
what's going on in the
outside world?
or do i have the word
confused?

We need love and warmth is justified despite when the world can feel cold and callous sometimes due to mortal evil around. Kudos for this impressive poem superbly phrased. Kudos!!!

No, that is what the world would perceive you as, but man, it sounds like you've got the right idea. Fuck the world and it's labels. Sloth it the fuck up.
