Duality Within

In the depths of my being, a conflict resides
Two sides of myself, they constantly collide
One filled with light, the other with dark
A battle for dominance, a perpetual mark

Identity torn between these opposing forces
One seeks love and peace, the other enforces
A cold and calculating agenda of pain
Striving for control, driving me insane

Evil's allure can be hard to resist
A seductive force, a dangerous twist
Temptation lures me to the darker side
A place where morality is cast aside

Yet, a glimmer of hope still remains
A light that shines despite the chains
A reminder of the goodness in my soul
A guiding force, a way to be whole

Duality, a struggle that cannot be won
But through acceptance, a journey begun
Embracing the light, and the dark within
Finding balance, a new journey begins.
