The Devil's Fawning

As the night falls and shadows stretch
A darkness creeps that none can catch
The sound of footsteps in the dark
Whispers in the wind, an eerie mark

From the depths of hell a voice doth call
A siren song to enthrall
The souls of those who dare to stray
From the light of day into the fray

The air grows thick with the scent of fear
As a figure looms, its features unclear
With eyes that glow like embers bright
It beckons you to join the fight

A dance of death, a macabre scene
As shadows twist and weave between
The screams of agony fill the air
Echoing through the depths of despair

The abyss opens, a gateway to hell
A place where demons and darkness dwell
The flames of damnation flicker and dance
As the devil himself takes up his stance

A wicked grin spreads across his face
As he welcomes you to this evil place
The price of admission is your soul
And once you enter, there is no parole

So beware the night, and heed this warning
Lest you find yourself in the devil's fawning
For once he has you, there is no escape
And in his grasp, you'll suffer and ache.
