Poem #6: March '23 (The End)
I burned myself twice, today
Here's my attempt at uncovering a meaning behind the pain:
Shiny, smooth new skin
Would expose itself to me
Pretty, distracting
But the sting and reddish tone lingered, naturally
I listened close to hear it speak to me, "Be careful with how you seek change, not every time will be this easy."

Hopefully they were accidental, and it was just a clumsy kind of day.
I have a lot of those days myself. Sometimes it seems like my scars are what holds some of me together. But they're also the stories that help identify "me".
Your poems are likewise part of how you show us who you are. So bring your new scars. You're still going to be in the awesome column.

Yeah I had a clumsy day, and burned myself twice, back to back when I was cooking. 😅 I just decided to kind of reflect on it and think about how I need to be more careful with how I'm approaching life. Although I was kinda fascinated with how quickly my new scar appeared, I had to remember how painful it was receiving it. Hope that makes some more sense of the meaning.
