The Release

Our memories together
Traverse my being like a torch of fire
Illuminating, consuming and conquering
And as emptiness slithers quietly unto my core
Allow me to write the things
embedded in my soul
A release Ive been longing to forge
A sweet escape in this melancholic world

And amidst this pitch black night
I would surround myself with the lullabyes of your goodbyes
Till pillows are drenched in tears
And a realization is always met
That you are best released
So i could find and satiate myself
For a new beginning for me awaits.
