But come on, you know that's a lie

I've paid attention to your ways
And tested it many times
Results are always the same

I'm here for you to do what you wish
And what you wish to do is nothing

Because instead of being honest
You like to sugarcoat the truth
Lies wrapped in artificial flavour
Designed to taste as sweet as can be
But it is one my mouth can't savour
Because something's missing in the recipe
The ingredients just don't mix
I don't know why you can't be real
The truth is all I want you to give
But instead you leave me ill
And I guess it's just too much
For me to ask for complete honesty
I should just magically hand over trust

The little things hurt me the most
As easily as they cause me to give affection
