I've got everything I thought I wanted
Everything is going just fine
My woman is lovely
She loves me
She is fine
Cooks all my favorite foods
Everything she does for me
is like a Gift from the Divine

But it appears that Al Green had a point

Theft is a crime
And deception is always wrong
But a well-seared ribeye next to a hot, steaming baked sweet potato that's split deep and covered in cinnamon butter and brown sugar
(Oooh Jesus!!)
will make even a full belly rumble
and put larcenous thoughts in the heart of an honest, but penniless, man

Happy I am
with what I've got
No better flavor than my woman's turkey wings n gravy
Slow-simmered n tender,
just fallin' off the bones!
Seasoned right n spicy
Smelling good all throughout the house from that heavy cast iron pot of hers
Just waitin' to be swallowed down with some corn bread and sweet tea

I've been eatin'
And eatin' good!!

But about that thick-ass ribeye...
and that hot, sweet-smelling sweet potato...
And if it's next to some broccoli, n cheesy rice?!?

Well...
I'm starting to think Al Green may have had a point about that (Make You Do Wrong,...Make You Do Right...) stuff

Cuz as well as I've been eating,
I didn't know I was still hungry
'Til that juicy seared steak
and that steaming sweet potato
caught my eye
