this is that instance where great minds think alike.

This great poem made me think of the "anti drag" law recently passed in Tennessee.
It was passed along with one forbidding transgender minors from receiving gender-affirming care.
A conservative backlash in "the Land of the Free."
One doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.

i can relate....
i think i no longer know what FREE stands for in freedom
maybe the dom is pronounced dumb and we havent realized it yet..

I feel for Javalini (above) and can relate to that ire at the state of Tennessee's hate mongering with that disgusting law passing. It's vile. Being from Florida, and having to claim that I'm actually living in a state that not only feels like it's ok to ban real learning, books, actual history and push laws onto people that has actually leaned towards rewriting how elementary children learn the facts of critical and crucial parts of the Civil Rights movement, is sickening. The amount of it's own disgust that the state government and the horrid governor are generating, I can only hope is uniting folks to mobilize.

This piece is poignantly stark in the highlighting of the day to day way that politics and just the rat race in general can a feel like it's definitely/intentionally meant to keep one in their own little box.... The irony of your poem works so well in showcasing that understanding.

Bringing awareness to social issues and how the 'haves' constantly stay wealthy on the backs of the 'have nots' and that miscarriages of so-called justice are around every corner, is stirring and enormously impactful....

Thank you for the various avenues of much needed thought and how you you opened me up to examine and discover more than just how I am affected but how everyone is.

I might not be acquainted with what's going on that part of the world.
Yet, I sincerely feel the struggle.
It's not fair, trampling upon other people freedom and rights like that isn't good....

Even though we come from opposite sides of the world,
We not that far apart...

Here in RSA in the days ahead there's a planned national lockdown, putting people livelihoods and jobs at risk...
Some few. Have suddenly thought their rights are more right than others..
