The Sweetness Of Patience
I wonder how many licks it takes
to get to the center of a
Tootsie roll pop,
but the question seems to
be more than just that.
It's not just about candy,
but about the patience we have
to wait and see things through,
to see what's at the core.
I wonder how many times I
have to fail before I succeed,
how many times I have to try
before I get it right.
Like the Tootsie roll pop,
Life is a mystery that I
must unravel
with every lick, every step,
and every challenge
Like the Tootsie roll pop,
the reward is sweet,
and the journey is worth it
If I have the patience and
persistence to see it through.
I will embrace the unknown with
curiosity, and the willingness to
go the distance,
until I reach the center
of my own sweet success.
