Tales Of A Flayed Angel

there she stood
stilled in defiant beauty
on display as an archaeological find
of unknown origin
eternally posed for the curious
visitors laden with a peculiar taste
a for dark extravagance

bemused and bewitched by
her immovable stance
molded meticulously by scripture
swirled within the folds of esoteric pottery
into a picture suggesting a worth more
than a thousand words could ever convey
for those very words would still
fall short of her ongoing epic

shed in Gothic overtures
graphic and gratuitous in how
she depicts the randomness of her existence
excavating the anthropology of her
soul through reddened hues
highlighting the contours of intent
genuine and raw to the bone
^^^^
boldly..brazenly placing
her life on judgment's auction block
as an around the way girl
working just her corner of the world
swaying her ass like a pendulum
underneath those peering streetlamps
succumbing to the highest bidder
for a night of debasement and enlightenment
bloodletting proses ripe with visceral
emotional upheavals

she uses her double pronged lingo to
uncork her bottled up genie
splashing pure genius for the museum goers
who toss black roses
in reciprocation of her ejaculations
as their thundering applause drowns out the
echoes of the cackling crows crouching
within the shadows of a hovering nether realm
waiting to feast upon their fem-Prometheus
shredding her wings on a nightly basis
devouring the air beneath her
dark sails

I like the formatting... In adding small vignettes, you offer a sort of mini anthology of thoughts, which I find enormously stimulating and enticing.
There's a heady gothic flavor that melds with Greek mythology that totally reeled me in.... I can absolutely see her as the Titan Goddess Of Fire 🔥
Using artwork in any fashion is some of my favorite ways to derive inspiration as well.... loved that.

That was kickass. The Prometheus trope, the fem-trickster is ah-fucking-may-zing. This was liquid sex and visual magic. You nailed the interpretation, at least imho. Really great stuff.

By the way, myself as well as others I'm sure, get motivations from seeing a picture, or some inspiring "scene", to use as a focal point to write towards. It's all part of the spectrum of our senses being stimulated.
