The real me
 
I hide behind erotica, in case my fragile side begins to show, scared to be who I really am, to let my true feelings go
 
Let the world see the real me, take a peek inside my heart, I wasn't always this guarded, I was full of confidence at the start
 
I'm frightened if people see me, they will see I've often been a fraud, pretending everything's ok, I don't want them to be appalled  
 
I aim to be like the old me, be the bold poet I wish to be, to roll up and be counted, to show the world this is really me
 
Come out from behind the shadows, write from within my soul, to show the universe who I am, is now a very important goal
 
Yes I'll still write erotica but I want the real me to help spred such Love and Light, so people can feel Sun from my stanzas, when they are sad at night
 
I pray my softer side can send words that feel like a needed hug, wrapped around the reader, so they feel nice and snug
 
So I'll come out of my virtual hiding place, if my writes can help just one, to lead them from a dark place and guides them to the Sun
