Unleashing the Magic on Bourbon Street

Dancing on stage in front of a crowded room,
The cheers so loud the stage vibrates with its own energy,
The air is electric, the air filled with smoke,
And the smell of lucky dogs & perfume uniquely Bourbon Street.

From the swing to the stage to the back-stage,
An endless routine that continuously dances in my mind,
Looking at my memories through a pane of frozen glass,
My frozen memories slowly brought back to life by my magic.

The stage is a place of liberation,
Where inhibitions are shed and fears are conquered,
A place where one can be anyone they want to be,
And express themselves through movement and rhythm.

And on that stage, I was alive,
My heart and my soul on display,
I give it my all and then some,
For this is where I truly come undone.

The lights and the music,
The roar of the crowd,
This was where I belong,
This was where I feel proud.

For in those moments, we are all united,
Bound together by the power of music and dance,
And the memories we create last a lifetime,
Etched into our hearts and minds forever.

For magic fills the air on Bourbon Street,
The energy of the crowds and the music,
The laughter and the joy,
It's like nothing else in this world.

So let us embrace the magic of the stage,
And all that it represents,
For it is a symbol of our freedom and creativity,
And a reminder that we are truly alive.

Author's Note
On this stage, I could be myself,
With the music and the crowds,
Close my eyes, I am home.
