Seekers Will Find Him

“IN THE study of God’s character there is danger as well as blessing. It is the same danger present in all searching for heavenly wisdom and understanding.” - F.W. Behold Your God chapter 3

I wish I could ask Fred Wright myself; how dangerous could such a sincere search really be? We do not need to speculate about anything regarding God, because He has already manifested Himself to us in our innocent nature as little children.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. King James Version

The idea that it’s dangerous to study God’s character seems inconsistent with God’s Word. Specifically when Romans 1 explains how those who became wicked first had God manifested in them, for which they were ungrateful, something you would expect from someone who has been deceptively shamed and broken about their identity through fraud; an alienating lie. Not a result of seeking God’s face.

For example; Are you are flawed? Inferior? Disgusting? Shameful? Maybe finite. Are you fragile? Have you thought you are abandoned; you are dying? You are less-than?

Do any of those things sound like the image of God in man? Who formed you in your mother’s womb?

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

Look as into your own reflection. Behold the face of the Father in the face of a small child; as angels do.
