The Dancer of Bourbon Street

I saw you join Deep Underground
Your intro made my mind rebound
I love that you now raise the sound
Of life you lived and those around

Dancers down on Bourbon Street
Dancing to Big Daddy's beat
That existence, no mean feat
Yet you survived  the wind and heat

You have moved on, yet you have stayed
Have gathered up the disarrayed
With talent your own life displayed
The Mardi Gras of your parade

Respect for you inspires me
We all can be whom we may be
Follow the light and you will see
God guides you with his trinity
