Let It Rain

Two Hydrogen awoke one bright summer day
they stretched and yawned and lazily lounged around
after breakfast they decided to go play
put on their shoes and wildly danced up and down

Soon, however, the Hydrogens grew quite bored
they hummed and they hawed and knew not what to do
sitting and wondering, their thoughts they explored
and had an idea exciting and new!

On such a fine day a walk was in order!
So outside they went and into the forest
the sun was high and made their way toward her
singing a song, a sob disturbed the chorus

The best of friends drew close to a giant oak
and at once spied a lonely Oxygen boy
the young lad looked up, wiped his eyes and he spoke
�Good morning�, he cried in a voice with no joy

The Hydrogens asked him, �Whatever is wrong?�.
Oxygen replied, �I am all by myself�.
they whispered to themselves then said, �Come along!�.
Oxygen then jumped up and danced like an elf!

The new found friends ran around and hopped with glee
they all held hands and the trio formed a chain
Hydrogens told Oxygen, �Three we can be!�.
A hug was in order and the love did rain!
