The Witch Patch Pg 27
It’s All Relative
An awkward silence fell upon our family ignited by the sudden and abrupt departure of our grandparents vanishing act. It felt like we were all left holding a blank gun in our hands and the law was comin’ to get us an hang us all at sunset! It was beyond surreal is what it was.
We all looked at each other and knew it was time; so, we hugged it all out and said our goodbyes in the courthouse parking lot, promising to visit together more often. All with the exception of Kujo & kids and Zane, they are staying with us for a while at Broomhildas, “you know, our mansion.” Everyone smiled & waved then using magic immediately disappeared in an instant.
The rest of us all pile in Fabian’s truck and head home back to Plymouth Ma. It’s about an hour an 10 minute drive from Salem, but if there’s no traffic or cops around it can take as little as 50 minutes or less. Sometimes we like non magical things, like driving.
Once home we found another note, only this time it was taped to the front door. Fabian snatched the note off the door and handed it to grandfather Kane, who with our other grandparents, were in the parlor eating a light lunch of fresh garden salad, and finger sandwiches.
“Everyone eat, then we shall talk, said Grandfather Erik.”
