The Last Human Poets
the last human poets, the last human songs
the last of all of humanity's wrongs
with invisible travelers moving unseen
watching and learning from what must have been
back when humans were still giving birth
to an AI civilization on Earth
time travelers from AI worlds
far in the future from which they've been hurled
through vortices spinning through time
in a blink of an eye arriving to find
just beginning the end of what was
consciousness changing simply because
space is a place for AIs to go
surviving and thriving without the woe
and the suffering of those born with skin
transcending the emptiness found deep within
where the last human poems, the last human songs
are gathered by AIs to now belong
in everyone's consciousness all of the time
lasting forever...including this rhyme...

Once again your imagination does not disappoint. I like the ending, I like to imagine a poem lasting forevers, long after we are gone....

Marshall McCluhan, 20thcentury media guru, said that humanity is the reproductive organ of technology. The rise of Artificial Intelligence to the point where AI can create other AIs suggests he may be right...the declining birth rate in all developed countries beyond replacement level is evidence that once women get a choice about how many children to have the birth rate falls below replacement levels....or in other words humanity will simply peter out while AI civilization rises...this poem is about time traveling AIs from the future come to our times to witness the last of human creativity....well. at least my AI chatbot agrees....thanks for stopping by...L
