Now Will
Now
will the fire
go out,
embers
grown cold
from the stories
we've told
though
they've ignited
that feeling
inside us,
how the fire
goes
so nearly out
but embers
fanned
are hot
enough.
And life
is
that
Nudge
in the night,
and that
somehow
determines
our
freedoms?
Or the freedoms
of others?
Stuffies
and teddy bears unite!
Now

Sometimes all it takes is that hot ember stoked juuuust right and... boom!!... it can ignite into a freaking maelstrom of desire(s)... I think the trials and tribulations that life throws at us can oftentimes skew perceptions or outlooks. It takes a conscious effort to not isolate within and to engage our minds and souls by allowing for personal growth and discovery.
This was a helluva reminder to maintain an open understanding, to participate and to be empathic and kind to ourselves and others .... when it's warranted and deserved.
Gotta love those last two lines of dd/lg humor .... haha.
