Slip Knot

arc of your neck runs to the shoulder
golden curls are tucked behind an ear
kissed soft by the lips of this beholder
the goosebumps on flesh are clear

arms held quietly around your waist
curved hips move like the ocean’s sway
scent of your perfume is interlaced
with soft whispers of the things we say

in time with the ebb and flow of your chest
the shivers ripple in the air we breathe
desire and ache like fine lace is meshed
my intention you cannot wait to sheathe

a little tug and your mantle comes undone
I get a peek into your pale skinned world
the anticipation firms as my fingers run
and leaves your ethereal form pearled

time slows as we drift into the crescent moon
and I watch as your silken sails unfurl
appetite trickles like rose petals strewn
as waves surge at the rudder’s swirl

tiny blossom in a contoured form
polished jewel glints against your skin
honeyed dance moves so slow and warm
sweet notes are coaxed from the violin
