Husband
sleeping peacefully
on my shoulder
there's a man I love.
he sleeps
as if there were no world
around him and around us
there was nothing
asking us to wake up,
to entangle us in their doubts.
sleeps that man, carefree,
on my shoulder dreaming...
this man sleeping like that
on my shoulder,
he's almost me
I'm almost him and we are
the two almost us.

It's really such a warm succinct image that conveys a sense of intimacy and time flowing out beneath the surface, like a tree reaching roots to sunlight.
