resides in quiet seclusion
beside still painted waters
lost in inexorable tranquility
silence courses on through
peels chaos like tree bark
roots itself in the dark depths
an insatiable verve ripples
now exists in a new identity
as time slows down to a trickle
upon this quiet sea of serenity
my contentment is now reality
and as it settles into this place
it gazes up from eternity
reaches out to me from heaven
