Depressing

I am depressed
For I thought that tulips
Such beautiful flowers
Of exquisite colors
A wonderful fest
But in Iran they are associated
With martyrs and death
(Ok for them because it means
A joyous reunion with 72 virgins
In such a wonderful love nest)

Not far from its stastus in the Netherlands
Where tulips once represented the briefness of life

Ominous in itself, represents, in part, the Fool
Sometimes furnished as a clue and a tool
