The cricket whispers to the silence within
listening to the mendacity of twilight, hoarse
with the voice of acapella sage leading the choir
wearing the socks of mad at their reality show,
a line of BS lining their tabloid ego
inflating their own self-importance, hoping it sticks
with lies on the move, being contagious
