War of Teeth

there is violence in my throat
a war of teeth in my mouth
hiding a savage tongue, wild and thirsty for blood
beastly sounds escape the cage of my cracked lips

there is violence in my throat
firing words like gunshots
this mouth, full of war
this mouth of cruel teeth and harsh tongue

teeth, these teeth, my teeth, like knives
a tongue, my tongue, that strikes like a whip, leaving carnage in its wake
my tongue, this tongue, licks the blood from bruised lips, these lips, my lips
as this mouth, my mouth, bares it’s false smile, a sardonic machination

there is violence in my throat
violence you crammed down this throat
violence you sewed into this tongue
violence you chipped these teeth on
turning a mouth, this mouth, my mouth into a battlefield
turning teeth, these teeth, my teeth and tongue, this tongue, my tongue to weapons

there is violence in my throat
a war of teeth in my mouth
