No Time For Fairies
"Shall we gather at the river"?
Ask not, what the axe can do,
when the hammer can too
no time for the Cheetos
miming stupidity
and a comic book is your Atlas
using a hemostat to slice the cod
screaming a woman has been made,
"no time for testicles, pass the lemonade"
waiting for the Bible to change the script
but turned away at the Golden Gate
with no time for fairies, light in their loafers

Favorite line: " a comic book is your Atlas". The capital a implies holding up one's world rather than just navigating it. Crazy fruit salad of a poem with some nice juicy bits.

Thank you. What often makes little sense to some, makes sense to me. However, I write for my own amusement and play with words. Writing is only a way to comfort me after a day at the shop, dealing with the public.
