Image for the poem Right to design

Right to design

Internally twisted
Unshapely divine
Entwined in a maleficent shrine
Withering away is your blackened soul
Crumbling atop the ashen knoll

To the bottom you rest with lack of will
Curled into a ball
Your screams are shrill
When tempers flare
Despondence calls
Unto the depths your freedom falls

I saw the malign challenging you
And I just stood there and so did you
With words you’ve meant
And words you’ve minced
Fade away untimely intransigence

Can you lift your head?
Can you face the wrath?
Cross the span?
Endure the path?
To err at the forefront
Grace at the back
Coherent in which the skills that lack

When life fills your sins
You cannot hide
You earn them; you spurn them
They coincide

As the road intertwines
Define your way
Right to design
Left to decay

To see the light is to tempt a dream
You scheme, align, forbid, redeem
Climb up from the ashes
Face your strife
Now is the time to change your life
