Poem #3: February '23 (The Beginning)

You must live in a warmer place. Where I live, it's freezing and with more snow on the way.

I look forward to the end of winter so that my spirit can also defrost.

Hey, LunasChild!

I live in California, so the coldest temperature I've experienced this winter is 34°F. I'm grateful it hasn't gotten much colder than that! I'm definitely enjoying the sunshine while it lasts haha.

"Loose ends form neat knots"-   What a cool way to say that you're tidying up from winter, getting ready for spring.  
But I also see how it could be like melting droplets refreezing (into knots).
Like the last stanza suggests, too.

I try my best to remain open to the inspiration both nature and daily life provide me.

This exercise of writing a poem at the beginning and ending of each month has helped me to better process my feelings around even the most mundane experiences. I'm glad it all comes across in an honest way.

"Open to inspiration" is the best medicine you can ever receive.  Nothing replaces that. No one can give you that. It's inside us as a self fortitude to keep trying.
