Apocalypse Dawning

O’ pale sinner,
bleed into the murmur of persuasion
Dark whisperer
Cruel jewelled swoon
Stand alone amidst the pallor
We cream the mire
To bathe in the shallows of ill-design
Let us convince the depths
to acquiesce to the sludge of envy
Forsaken wilderness absent of fawn
Flora dissevered from sunlit sages
Indolent streams forbid of their dance
Reams of dispraise in the alluvium;
desiccated
Longing for a wisp of rain
Forthwith, we churn
in the stagnation of trees
Barren and subtle
Brittle verdure afoot
Strangling the last of the oaken pillars
Sallow reflections
in the final dawn
Regardfully stretched
shadowed
unchallenged
