Judas Complex

Another night at this table
Same drink, different taste
Another time I slipped by a fable
Same anger, different pain

Smoke it to the filter
The bitterness seeps in like cancer
Feel the sting a little clearer
The question of you and I
And the answer

Say it!
Say it again!
One more time!
You traitor!

Another night at this table
And I feel this is more than just a stepping stone
Pray to the ghosts who once sat here
I stop and think, this is my cornerstone, my tombstone

Strike the bowl and feel a dream
Strike a pose and feel it slip
I lost my grip and never clinched again
Until I needed to bust your lip

Say it!
Say it again!
One more time!
You traitor!

Forty thousand times, I've lived the same day
Over and over and over and over
Heard the same voices scream your name
Over and over and over I play this game

I'm bound to win once
Just once

The table where we all once sat
Then planned a funeral
Wrote a thousand miseries
The last table where we sat as a family
You swore you'd never leave
But here I am, slamming my fist
Into that table, because you lied to me!

Say it!
Say it again!
One more time!
You fucking traitor!
