Sublime Slumber

A man sleeps in a mausoleum, where the dead reside
Where bones of ancestors lay, in silent pride
He seeks a place of rest, and peace from the world
A refuge from the noise, where his mind can unfurl

The corpses and tombs, they converse with the night
Whispers of reverence, in the flickering light
For in this crypt of comfort, he finds solace and ease
A reprieve from the chaos, that's never to cease

The silence is his sanctuary, as he lays among the dead
Where the weight of life's troubles, are finally shed
The ancestors watch over him, in their eternal sleep
And he finds rest, in their company, where his soul can keep
