Pluto is there, but you don't see it,
Neptune too, Uranus too…etc.

And it's not just because you don't see
that is not there, like plankton and
microscopic algae,
like viruses that kill without being seen,
viruses are there, even if you can't see them.

The greatest of all fears
is to see it slipping between your fingers,
the last of our fears.

No one sees the chimera,
the dream is not touched,
that even if no one sees
will always be there...

Like a true sphinx that observes,
unscathed, the fall of your dream
on the shoulders of statues, your
dream turned into pigeon droppings,
your dreams…

red carnations at the feet
of the statues of no saints.

There were kings, there were queens
and heads rolling, beginnings and ends…
and gold in the body of Montezuma,
gold in the crown jewels,
gold in the skin of the gods
and in the purses of the priests.

The gold that is not seen,
but that is there at the bottom of the mines,
waiting for men to transform
mountains in craters.
