Life

Life

In the most unexpected places.
Seemingly sprouting from nothing at all.
Supposedly, distantly, arising from a Big Bang.
The components needed in all future cases.
Spreading, spreading, as the universe became long and tall.
Basic chemicals becoming life, nature’s Yin Yang.

From microscopic to mammoth,
Life finds a way to exist and survive.
Diversity apparently a crucial key.
Never resting, not even on the Sabbath.
Always working to stay live,
The ultimate busy bee.

Even within the same community you can see
Diversity at work.
But still relying on food, water, and sun.
Clinging together, socializing, seemingly free,
But doing so naturally, abstractly, subtle artwork
For the simple, the complex, the bon ton.

Water, the grand uniter, baptizes naturally, symbolically,
Those swimming in it, those not, those seeking it.
Sustaining life, as it travels towards eternity,
Whether floating in the wind, land, or sea, always totally.
Life, that thing, that notion, that clutches with such grit.
So strongly that we speak of it spiritually.

Life, without this would not exist.
Life, running full steam ahead into the unknown.
Life, both cruel and compassionate.
Life, sometimes monogamous, sometimes praying for a tryst.
Life, always searching, never fully grown.
Life, a sacrament, an accident(?), hopefully passionate.
