Unwanted Letter to Granddad
With tearful eyes and mournful cries I penned a letter.
He was always there right from the very start,
His precious grandchildren captured his heart,
I can hear your voice talking to me as
your spirit lives on within.
I could never give the amount of credit that is due,
An Incredible Man you were indeed,
May I always conquer strife,
knowing you're here in spirit.
May my problems be solved,
thinking "what would granddad do".
Now every time we speak of you it starts with "remember when".
May we remember all you taught us,
until we meet again.
He was always there right from the very start,
His precious grandchildren captured his heart,
I can hear your voice talking to me as
your spirit lives on within.
I could never give the amount of credit that is due,
An Incredible Man you were indeed,
May I always conquer strife,
knowing you're here in spirit.
May my problems be solved,
thinking "what would granddad do".
Now every time we speak of you it starts with "remember when".
May we remember all you taught us,
until we meet again.
