Thank them for the love and forgive them for the trauma

I’m always coming to the rescue.  
Fighting through my pain just to save you.  
 
But in the end who saves the hero?  
Your battles are won and mine are zero.
 
So when the world is quiet and you’re sound asleep.
I’m trying to find room for all these secrets I keep.  
 
I’m in therapy.  
My whole family,  
Says that I need to be.  
But they never check in on me!  
 
So what Is the point in caring so much,
When end the end I’m never enough.  
 
Even for the ones who raised me.
I guess thats the way it was destined to be.
 
I can thank them for the love and forgive them for the trauma.  
 
They’ll deny it,
So I stay silent.
