lonely fluidity

I wear wet clothes
in memory of the drowning
in memory of the drowned
in memory of myself

I have no name here
only weight
in a weightless space

I am glacier numb
and just as slow
there is no urgency
only a hopeless tired reaching

No one tells you how heavily
despair suffocates
already brittle bones

No one tells you
the lights is painful
when you crave the dark

I wear wet clothes
in the memory of hope
and wait for the weight
to feel like something
