Fire

Eleven a.m. Came riding her horse into town
Noon waited around the corner just to try and take her down  
Tuesday wanted to take them    
Both outside to play  
Friday got here really quick  
And just really wants to stay  
December rolled down the window  
Threw snow about the ground  
May waited patiently    
To bloom those flowers all over town  
A year stood in the window    
Watching all of them pass by  
Decade heard the doorbell ring  
Thought it was just a silly lie  
Century tried to remember  
Forgot to write it in the book  
Millennium found out later  
Didn't have time to take a look  
Eternity finally came calling  
Couldn't figure out who to see  
Second started yelling  
Come on! Won't you visit me  
Minute got so impatient  
Said things he did not mean  
Hour started wondering  
About their self esteem  
Letter started thinking  
She should probably form a word  
Sentence saw it flying  
Wanted to talk about a bird  
Chapter got obsessive    
Wrote in complete detail  
Novel got all uppity  
Screamed till they couldn't yell  
History wanted to tell them all  
Though they got so very tired  
   
   
The humans well....................  
   
They showed up  
And burnt it in a fire!
