Embers left to grow
I tell them my mind is burning and that I can not put it out
I told them the embers were there years ago,
That I convinced myself it would be better to let them go out on their own
I should have known better,
That those embers would grow
Now I'm left here with a mind aglow
It may be to late now that the fire is raging,
But perhaps, just maybe, this mind is worth saving?
