The Land Of Make Believe
taunted by a role playing muse
he said to her:
let's imagine behind the views
of the characters the pen assumes
and travel through the forbidden forest
foraging through a
cornucopia of
the explicit
so shamelessly they delved
implicating themselves
within their alter egos
as salacious innuendos opened
up side windows
back doors
creepy attics
and dark basements
where the pen takes on a different stench
maybe repulsive
maybe alluring
maybe a bit of both
in this game of truth or dare
spin the bottle
on full throttle
with the both of them fully aware
they'll never meet in real life
cuz shit like this will cause real strife
with the wife and kids
so she indulged him
her fellow thespian
in cyber space
where the theater of the soul
was freely expressed
after dark
when the sun went down
and the moon took center stage
as fantasies were fulfilled
under the watchful eyes of
peeping toms
creeping moms
and that stalking pervert
masturbating in the upper balcony
sitting in row 69
seat F
no judgement here
weirdos freaks and outcasts
were all invited
to this hall of mirrors
where distorted reflections
became larger than life
in a playground ripe
with poetic phraseology
no harm no foul
as neither was looking to deceive
in their leisurely stroll
through the land of make believe
