A Journey of Pages

Let us not life's knowledge squander
But on a pedestal of curiosity ponder

All around, paper and book
The source is there, take a look

Of tree and bird, the winds gentle sigh
There's a story to all, no need for "why?"

Do not question birth, nor creation sully
Resist! Do not drink from tempt's gully

Listen close, receive my task and amass
Ask, what stories next shall come to pass?

Tales are not just "was" and "then"
For they are also "where?" and "when?"

A comedy trope, or nature's gold
Writes are both for young and old

You are charged with your final quest
Adventure is near, seek it, on my behest

Author's Note
I am very proud of this poem, and I love the way it sounds. Learning and understanding are two things I believe deeply in. Also, I just love literature.
