stolen affection
Yeah i know its silly,
even steeped in the undertow of fantasy
to waste imagination on what it might be
that she sees
stage left
just how many directors
i wonder
were hired to produce that smirk
seeming so sly
and accidental
does she not know that i see
pulled strings?
this teasing tension
is clearly orchestrated
and oh
so well
please don't pretend
that these are not mountains,
the molehills you have projected
from the edifice
on the hillside
allow these sharpened swords
to at least be unsheathed
before you cut us down
with those perfected
self-absorbed smiles
and lusty verses
please keep your similes
in your pants
unless it's all out war
that you seek
and we all know
the mightiest of warriors
are mere squeaking mice
when a woman has set a trap
just snap my neck quick
so i won't envision exquisite fondue
if it's only cheap processed cheese
you provide

...even from the lady herself? All part of the mystery, I'm sure. Welcome to the legion of fans mate....well writ. I can only speculate on the battery of words that have fallen at the feet of our needy angel...oh how she does demand much of us :-)

you provide"- that applies to so many things, i almost wish i could use that verse in real life- but i can't. envisioning exquisite fondue is an important part of the process, to cut that stage out would mean being cynical, and I'm strong and can handle it all but not cynical- I couldn't survive in this world.

well, i bloody love it. you capture the resentment of weakness, clear recognition of femininity's wily manipulation at its finest... the flow is stunning, as it always is; and as i have said on this site before, i am a lame-ass when it comes to alliteration if it's done well. [:
