my sadness has left me silent
I keep to the river cos that's what I know to do
grey skies push in and I get lost in the sorrow

I am safe in my haven

the world is moving too fast and I pull away
a soliloquy of the soul
speaking of oppression

people are celebrating the laws
they say the great dragon is dead
but they are wrong...I can feel it

technology is advancing at a rapid pace
there is evidence of advanced ancient societies on this planet
there is no proof of what happened to them or their technology

I feel the heavy discontent in the air
and I wonder will history repeat itself
casting us into the dark ages or worse yet oblivion
