Grounded in Agency

I think it was closure for you, to see that I hadn't grown up
As if all I learned to do were worthless in your cup
Thinking, I found a mistake of misconstrued lust
Something I didn't intend to take but, I understand, judgement just

I never see myself as El, but I do imagine you as Athirat
Ashratu seems appropriate to tell, maybe Inanna and also Anat
Are you the daughter of the moon, Ishtar was your selling stone
I look back as for a boon; I should not ask, finite alone

Agency
None of this is directed at you
My introspection is not healthy nor true
I refuse to let go out of shame
You have moved on, I'm glad in your blame

Agency
I still prescribe you my imagination
Ignoring individuality as passion
It's always been my problem nation
To wear your personality fashion

Do you still dream of me
Or have you escaped my memory tree
I am selfish in thought, I hold you
Moving on seems impossible to do
