Jingling Loose Memories
Most people can't remember the last time
That they felt like a kid at Christmas time
But I can remember lying in bed with my heart racing
My nose filled with the most delicious scents in the world
I just wanted to sneak downstairs and gently unwrap a gift
Maybe play with it a little, only to rewrap it and tear into it later
Yes I was a naughty one, there was nothing like that morning eggnog
So sweet and creamy, I lapped at it as I played with my toy
Yes I remember being a kid at Christmas time
The moans and giggles as the stocking was stuffed
Hahaha, just playing and nibbling for hours on end
Today was all mine so I could eat as much as I wanted
I could take my toys apart, but please don't break them
Just learn how everything looks and works, then put it back together
As I tire, totally stuffed and played out
I took a nap, but all I can dream about is my new toy
So I got back up and begin playing a little rougher
Also with a lot more excitement, preparing for a holiday feast
So many sweet and salty thing lining the table
Mmmm, with my shiny mouth and fingers, I savored every morsel
Remember never put your toys away dirty and remember to clean your plate
Most people just can't remember their last time
The last time that they felt like a kid at Christmas
But I can remember every second of every minute that I spent with you
That they felt like a kid at Christmas time
But I can remember lying in bed with my heart racing
My nose filled with the most delicious scents in the world
I just wanted to sneak downstairs and gently unwrap a gift
Maybe play with it a little, only to rewrap it and tear into it later
