The cute little kitten was brought to the Vet.
Turns out the stray kitten was in bad shape
Blind, run over by a car, front left leg quite smashed
After all the possible care it was decided, regretfully,
To put it to sleep.
In Montréal a seven year old girl is victim of a hit and run
As she was on her way to school.
A refugee from Ukraine, in town barely two months
Here with her mother and brothers
Her father still back in Ukraine fighting for his country
She later died in the hospital.
Life can be so cruel.

It's cruel indeed. I can't begin to imagine the heartbreak the mother must be feeling and the father fighting for his country.
