Curse, curse, the alderman's noose!
Curse, curse, hell let loose!
To the gallows I did walk
In the crowd death did stalk
Curse, curse, the alderman's noose!

In a moment, a short drop
In a moment, a swift stop
Curse, curse, the alderman's noose!
Curse, curse, hell let loose!
The rope tightens around my neck
On my flesh the crows did peck
Haunt, haunt, the alderman's thought!
Hell, hell, I hath brought!
