I breathe

I breathe, to save my life
as the wind sweeps by
then steals it away
leaving only thoughts
of yesterday,  now fresh
and raw of  when
we were young and dumb  

These emotions tend to
 make me needy like a
muck rake after the snow

Where do I go for solace?
You will be there
You will always be there

I want to carve out a space
 within this tired soul
 to fit my undying love still
 ever present
Encourage me
to live life  without you  
with joy
