Insomnia hits me sometimes
Hey: why are you doing this to me?
I have enough to deal with my conscience
And lack of sleep in dark times
When these terribly ugly demons
Are invading my soul
(Ok, for good reasons)
I don't need you to bother me
And depriving me of sleep
When my conscience is in the clear.

It's an all too familiar and relatable subject which you present quite nice here. Sometimes the brain is too active at those late hours.
